When ModNation Racers was released it was well received but one thing that kept bringing the game down was the lengthy load times. Today IGN has outlined a few of the things which are being changed in a new patch for the title.
In this they mentioned the following:
Slashed Load Times
Yes, there are still going to be load times, but Sony is reporting that in some cases those loads will be 50 percent faster.
Hopefully this means you’ll spend more time burning rubber.
DLC entitled, Ranger Pack will be heading to both the Xbox Live Marketplace and Steam on Tuesday August 3rd.
The Ranger Pack, packs a punch and comes along with new weapons, achievements and also the ‘Ranger Mode’ game rules. This mode sees the ammo dramatically reduced and all weapons inflict more damage onto your enemies. Your foes are deadlier than ever – but so are you.
If that’s not enough for you the ‘Ranger Hardcore’ mode adds an additional challenge by completely removing the HUD, adding to the immerse experience.
The two new weapons are – the Heavy Automatic Shotgun, and the Volt Driver. If that isn’t enough for you to pick up the new DLC, there is new achievements and gamerscore up for grabs.
All this for just 240MSP on XBLM and for free on Steam when it’s delivered via an auto-update through Steam.
It probably comes to you as no shock that Codemasters has been developing DiRT 3. The first trailer for the game will be shown at the X Games in LA this weekend.

There’s always a huge buzz around the multiplayer side of Halo but we mustn’t forget that it also packs in a full single player campaign. The latest trailer for Halo:Reach solely shows of the single player of the game with some great visuals and out of this world battles.
Comic Con maybe over but we’ve got a new trailer for InFamous 2. It shows its deep roots to the comic world and is brilliantly executed in this short video which sets up the characters and the city.
I was willing to go out on a limb and say that Dead Space 2 was going to have box art. It seems I would have been right as today, EA has official revealed the box art.
The first of two DLC packs has arrived for Alan Wake. If you bought the game new you should have a redeemable code, now is the time to use it. If you don’t have such a code you’ll have to fork out $7 for The Signal.
If you couldn’t wait for The Signal and used your code before today, fear not Microsoft are on top of it.
I was blown away by the short video which was produced to reveal the development of a new Ghost Recon, and it seems that Ubisoft are making a 30 minute live action video of Ghost Recon and we’ve got a short snippet of that.
The demo for Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days is now available on Xbox LIVE. The demo features both singleplayer and multiplayer so you should get a nice feel of the game from the demo.
