    Vanquish Demo expected 31st August

Posted in News by Scott - - (13 days ago)

SEGA has sent word that a demo for Shinji Mikami’s new FPS will be available on the 31st August on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360. It will be available on the PSN and Marketplace on the 31st for those in North America, 1st September for Europe and 2nd September for those in Australia.

The demo will feature two levels of difficulty and sees you taking on the role of Sam, a US government agent who’s given a ARS battle suit and are battling for the ownership of the planet’s remaining resources against Russia on board a huge space station. The demo starts off with you entering the third port lobby of the space station, and you’re immediately brought to fight against enemy robots being deployed by dropships. You’ll get a chance to have a play with a few of the weapons and upgrades and the ability to hijack “Walkers”, or use the Boost and AR mode of your ARS suit to take down robots if that’s more your thing. The demo ends with a fight against the boss called, Argus which you’ll have to use all your skill to defeat.

Crackdown 2 Demo now on Xbox Live

Posted in News by Scott - - (76 days ago)

The Crackdown 2 demo which has been out for a lucky few is now available to all on Xbox Live who have a Gold account. The demo includes a few Achievements that you can boost your Gamerscore with but will need to insert the retail disc of Crackdown 2 when it’s released on July 9th in Europe. The demo also has accelerated levelling so don’t expect the full game to be so easy.

Also, if you’re still on the fence about getting the game, if you pre-order you receive exclusive, in-game bonus armour in four new shades: Gold, Gun Metal, Black and Green.
