    Need for Speed World to feature Dolby Axon

    Need for Speed World will be the first title in North America to use Dolby’s Axon technology. It’s a new chat technology that is supposed to allow players to become even more immersed in the underground racing world.

    “Working with Dolby, we can give gamers a seamless channel of communication for them to collaborate together to become the top racer. We’re excited to be the first title in North America to incorporate Dolby Axon to help enhance our player’s overall racing experience.” said Stephane Grefford, Producer, Need for Speed World.

    It takes care of removing background noise, removing that pesky echo and includes support for surround sound voice chat over stereo headsets, stereo speakers and 5.1 setups.

    You don’t need any special hardware to make use of Dolby Axon.

    BF2 and BF2142 Downtime Expected Wednesday

    EA has posted a quick message on their blog about some expected downtime for Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. This isn’t due to a patch or new features being added but GameSpy shifting some servers around.

    The downtime is expected from Wednesday 25th, 10:00 p.m. (22:00) Pacific Daylight Time and will last for about 6 hours.

    Crysis 2 gets a release date – 22 March 2011 NA – 25 March 2011 EU

    Expect to see him in March 2011

    First we saw Crysis 2 in the Marine Salvage Trailer and now Crytek have revealed the release date for the game has now been revealed in a tweet. You can get your Nano Muscle Suit on the 22nd of March 2011 in North America and just 3 days later 25th March 2011 for Europe.

    They’ve also released the first screenshot from the multiplayer side of the game.

    Medal of Honor Limited Edition owners to receive Battlefield 3 beta invite

    Battlefield 3 beta invite for Limited Edition MoH

    If you’re intending to buy the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor, Today EA has said that you can expect to receive an invite into DICE’s latest instalment into the Battlefield series, Battlefield 3.

    Along with the invite you’ll also receive MP-7, a weapon used by the Tier 1 Operators in the field. You’ll also receive two shotguns along with custom slugs.

    Medal of Honor is released on October 15th in the UK.
